2020 United States Mint Set – Final Full Year of ATB Quarters
The 2020 United States Mint Set features standard uncirculated business-strike coins from both the Philadelphia and Denver Mints, presented in the familiar multi-panel Original Government Packaging (OGP). This year marks the final full year of the America the Beautiful Quarters Program, represented with ten quarters—five from each mint—honoring: National Park of American Samoa (AS), Weir Farm (CT), Salt River Bay (VI), Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller (VT), and Tallgrass Prairie (KS). The official Red Book reports a very low mintage of just 211,787 sets, making the 2020 Mint Set one of the scarcest in the modern series.
In addition to the ATB Quarters, the set includes uncirculated examples of the Lincoln Cent, Jefferson Nickel, Roosevelt Dime, Kennedy Half Dollar, and the 2020 Native American Dollar featuring the “Elizabeth Peratrovich and Alaska Anti-Discrimination Law” reverse. NOTE: The U.S. Mint had originally announced that 2020 Mint Sets would also include special 2020-W Jefferson Nickels from the West Point Mint. However, these coins were never produced and are not included in the set. All coins are housed in protective Mint-issued cellophane within the folder-style OGP, ensuring strong strike quality, bright luster, and full mintmark detail.
The 2020 Mint Set holds strong appeal among modern collectors due to its low production and its place at the close of the America the Beautiful Quarters era. With early 2020 production delays and the absence of the anticipated “W” nickel, demand for this set has remained high among those building complete modern Mint Set runs.
